Terms of Service — Hamro Hub

By accessing or using Hamro Hub (the "Service") you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms also constitute the End-User License Agreement ("EULA") between you and Hamro Hub for the iOS and Android applications.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hamro Hub. By signing up, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally entitled to use the Service.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your password and Apple ID credentials secure. You agree to notify us at hello@hamrohub.app of any unauthorized access. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (announcements, events, jobs, creator submissions). By posting, you grant Hamro Hub a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Service.

You agree NOT to post content that is:

Illegal, harmful, threatening, defamatory, or hateful
Infringing on another's intellectual property
Spam, scams, or fraudulent
Adult or sexually explicit (objectionable content)
Misinformation about elections, health, or public safety
Promoting paid services or commercial offerings in free community categories (use the paid sponsorship route instead)

Posts are subject to automated moderation and human review. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate them. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users — flagged users are reviewed within 24 hours and banned where appropriate.

4. Advertising & Sponsorships

Hamro Hub offers paid advertising slots (banner sponsor, featured sponsor, newsletter sponsor) to businesses serving the Nepali community. Sponsor payments are processed by Stripe via a payment link emailed to the sponsor — these are business-to-business transactions and not in-app purchases.

Refunds: Pro-rated refunds are available for un-aired ad days. No refund is issued for ads that have already been displayed. Refund requests must be sent to hello@hamrohub.app within 30 days of the purchase date.

Sponsors are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and intellectual-property status of their advertising content.

5. Third-Party Services

Hamro Hub uses third-party services including Apple Sign-In, Resend (email), Stripe (sponsor payments), Cloudflare (DNS & CDN), Google Gemini (AI moderation), and live radio streams from independent Nepali broadcasters. We are not responsible for the content or availability of these third parties and their services are governed by their own terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The Hamro Hub name, logo, design, and software are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hamro Hub is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Radio streams, calendar data, and horoscope content are sourced from public providers and may be inaccurate or temporarily unavailable. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hamro Hub and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) US $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Hamro Hub harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, including content you post.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the Profile screen. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law, with or without notice.

11. Apple App Store EULA (iOS users)

If you use Hamro Hub on an Apple iOS device, the following terms also apply (as required by Apple):

These Terms are between you and Hamro Hub only — Apple is not a party to these Terms.
The license to use Hamro Hub is a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, per the App Store's standard Usage Rules.
Hamro Hub (not Apple) is solely responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, and any product warranties.
Hamro Hub (not Apple) is responsible for addressing any user claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal/regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims.
Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
You represent that (a) you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and (b) you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced inside the app and on this page (the "Last updated" date will reflect changes). Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
